WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HIRING AN INTERIOR DESIGNER? An experienced Interior Designer will create a beautiful space that reflects your needs and personality, while saving you time and money. Many times it is more challenging and stressful to pull together a project on your own time. Popular television shows like Trading Spaces and Queer Eye have made people realize that a professional can often breathe new life into an existing space and give life to an idea that you dreamed of but couldn't bring to fruition on your own. HOW DO YOU CHARGE CLIENTS? We typically charge per design hour for our work. In addition, we charge our clients a small commission for items that they purchase. IS THERE A FEE FOR THE INITIAL MEETING? During our first meeting we want you to meet us and more importantly, we look to understand the goals of the prospective client. There is no charge because this is simply an interview and not intended as a meeting to provide prospective clients with design ideas. WHAT TYPE OF BUDGET DO YOUR CLIENTS HAVE FOR THEIR PROJECTS? We pride ourselves on our ability to help clients find design solutions no matter what the budget may be for any given space. For example, some clients have us create spaces by selecting items from mail order catalogs (Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, Williams Sonoma, etc.) where they can purchase items on their own. DO YOU MIND IF CLIENTS PURCHASE THINGS ON THEIR OWN? We understand that sometimes clients see "the perfect chair" and impulsively buy the chair hoping it will fit the room we are creating. However, based on our experience we find that clients are ultimately more satisfied when they allow us a say in all purchases for a space. We encourage open communication and a chance to comment on whether a new idea or object can be appropriately integrated into the design scheme.
